My thirteen-month-old has a cow security blanket that she adores, her
"Gow" (the hard C is tricky sound for her still). She has trouble
falling asleep without it, and wants to carry it around most places.
Because of that, it's tricky to wash--I either start the laundry
immediately after she wakes up or wait until she's fast asleep and sneak
it out of her crib and hope she stays asleep. So, since I had stuffed
cow pattern from the Funky Friends Factory, I got some Michael Miller
minky fabric (on sale at Ben Franklin) to make a couple more. The purple flannel for this one's face, horns, and hooves is left over from a stuffed toy lamb I sewed for her little cousin. In the picture, her big sister is helping by adding some stuffing. She also did some stitching and held down the reverse button on my sewing machine when I needed to do some back-stitching.
I just sewed
together the front half of the Patty the Cow pattern
sewed it onto a 15 by 15 inch square. My mom helped with the
