Description

I have never tried to cut a diamond with a ruler and have not cut a diamond at all in @ 30 years.  And I have not done y seams for that length of time either.  I watched a Fat Quarter Shop video this morning on both and decided it was time to give it a try.  It was so much fun and not at all hard.  And some great tips you can use with other blocks as well.  I will make this into something later.

I have definitely shied away from diamonds so I'm glad you linked the tutorial.I use to feel that way about HST's and now they are second nature. I love seeing the Field Notes coming back into play! At least I think I recognize it from your sister's quilt.

Terryt1955 I can not believe how easy this was...really. And yes you got the fabric right i just love it!

I just watched the video and thought her technique of starting right in the center where the seams match makes so much sense. Ingenious!

HawkFan

Perfect center and the back of the block is almost as lovely as the front!

HawkFan thank you... I had to take a picture of back as I do not think I have ever made a quilt block with such a good looking back;-)
