Description

I'm making this baby size Disco quilt for a friend of mine, who has been super awesome lately! She runs a budding quilt shop out of her home, and is serious need of model quilts to show off her fabrics and tools so when she brought in the hex n' more ruler and Disco quilt pattern I just had to make it. :) It's all with batiks, and super fun to make!

Edit: All done and bound up! I had a hard time with the binding, but I think that's because I made it too small (2" wide) and it was my first time trying out bias binding. I do appreciate the stretch factor it has though! And that I only used a 20" square to make it. That just barely made it all the way around, lol. It did run out of backing while being quilted by my friend, so I had to add more pieces hence the "T" design on the back. So many "whoops" moments on this one, but overall I would totally make it again. :) ...But slow down my process on it, haha.

I really like your quilt. I have the ruler now, and batik stash. Guess I'll have to get this pattern!

Any baby would love this. So colorful and nice shapes to gaze at. I see your "baby" thinks it is special. Even the T on the back looks good. What a great way to add fabric to the back. Your friend will be amazed and delighted.
