In Progress

8/2/14 while browsing through Country Sampler, an online quilt shop, I found and fell in love with a quilt pattern called "Front Porch". I had images of sitting on the porch during the summer and working on this pattern. I just had to add it to my cart. Imagine my delight when I found they also had created a fabric kit they titled Vintage Front Porch Fabric Kit". I couldn't resist and bought both. The only thing I had to then buy was fabric for the backing, which I found at one of my local quilt shops. Fabric line for this is "Front Porch" by Jan Patek Quilts for Moda.

8/9/14  I just got done pressing all the four patch blocks open.  Now to trim them down to 4 1/2" squares and then it's time to start working on the borders for each four patch.

I just love this fabric collection and it will make a beautiful quilt. Love the image you create as well!!

Thanks, it took me all day yesterday to match a light and dark fabric together. I kept changing my mind on what looked good together as there are so many great matches. I had to do that with two charm packs. But now they're matched and I feel so much better.

Wonderful photos. Love the fabric and pattern!
