What a creative idea...someone will be loving this when they win!!
Great idea - enjoy your reunion!
Carolmarie , many years ago my aunt made clocks in wooden hoops by just stretching fabric in the hoop and putting in the clockworks. Last summer I came up with the thought that I could use a quilt block and perhaps make some to sell. Never got around to it and then I found the clockworks in my drawer as I was sorting things out and figured I could put one together fairly quickly (since I had waited til last minute to come up with something for the raffle) and it did go together pretty well. Husband was very helpful to make me a wooden frame to stretch it on. Glad you think so!
This is wonderful, Marsha! I love this block and it makes a perfect clock!
Oh my gosh, I had never seen this block until two days ago and picked it for my month that is coming up. Love the clock and the fabric you picked
Thank you Quilt455 . Maybe you'll get an identical block if the colors are to your liking. LOL Since I was making the clock for a Maine family reunion, and the block had the right number of 'markers" to mark out the hours, it was a no-brainer to use it. I wanted to call it "New England Primary" since I used mostly primary colors...but didn't. Glad you picked this block; it's a fun one to make.
