Hedgehog Jacket by Robynie
I hardly ever sew clothing, but I bought this pattern a long time ago on a whim, and I finally decided I am going to make it. I adore Lizzy House Outfoxed Hedgehogs and I know I will never use these adorable hogs in a quilt.
I am also reading a book about hedgehogs, "A Prickly Affair" by Hugh Warwick. I'm only about halfway through because I'm a really slow reader, but I highly recommend the first half. It might be why I like this fabric so much.
I'm making pretty good progress on this, despite a few frustrations.... I made a mistake cutting the back piece so the hedgehogs were upside down (hedgehogs defy gravity, didn't you know?), and I didn't have enough fabric to recut the piece as one solid piece. So I pieced it with some lupine chevrons, and that turned into a happy accident, because I think they look pretty slick!
The pattern was designed with faux pocket flaps on it, but personally I find faux pockets confusing, so I went ahead and did double welt pockets there.
