Description

I'm getting my groove back with simple projects. This was 2 charm packs from http://www.peggyannes.com/ - a really nice shop in New Hampshire. I backed it with peapod flannel in mint green.  Funny thing is these are colors I usually avoid but the first charm pack was a free gift with a purchase, so I went back for charm pack number 2 to be able to get a quilt out of them.  While I may not be looking for these colors regularly, I did like the mix and it seems perfect for a baby quilt especially when you don't know the nursery colors- as long as the mom doesn't hate pastels I think I'm safe as this has managed to hit all the colors at once!!!  No pattern, I just stitiched the 5" blocks together, then a Kona White border, then 2 1/2 blocks stitched in two rows as the outside border.  It's pieced quilted with Aurifil 50wt.in white and DMC Embroidery Thread which I just happened to have in Mint Green ( leftover from smocking days;)))

True Thanks Mary- and yes, that pea pod flannel-- so cute- wished I had gotten more of that one!

cally68 Readerowl Thanks ladies!

Quilt455 It's so simple- you could make a few in no time...and we won't discuss ( ahem) how long this took me...let's just say I "enjoyed the process" LOL

I thought I had commented on this here on TB but just realized it was on IG. I'd like to blame my spaciness on a cold I'm fighting but it's really just me being spacey. I love the soft colors of this quilt. So pretty.

HawkFan Ha Ha- no worries- I do the same- spent last night cleaning my "follow" list on IG that had ballooned from all the contest circles- taking way too long to get caught up on IG:) I hope you get through your cold soon:(((- get some rest! and thanks- I enjoyed my little interaction with pastels!

Mymble

Carolmarie Thanks carol- yes, the border is my favorite too- was the best way to use up what I had left and it was fun to quilt! I agree- pastels have come a long way- I'm definitely on speaking terms with them now;)

Mrsquilt
