Crackers & cheese potholder for JennyAnne 2014 by Speattle
Home & Decoration
I donated some home sewn and knitted kitchen items as a prize in a summer sewalong group that I participated in from June to end of August. JennyAnne from Florida was picked as the winner of my prize.
The potholder is part of a prize package (but I've already shown the towels I did here). One side of the potholder has Ritz crackers and the other size various cheeses. The inside is a combination of warm and natural and insulbrite battings.
This is just a simple 8 in square stitch and turn construction with a fabric loop sewn in at the top. The fun part is choosing a decorative stitch to quilt it together. For this one, I used the "stipple" stitch on my Brother 1250D.
Oh, the dishtowels won blue ribbons at our state fair. The red one also won "Best in Class" and "Best in Division".
