This is the third quilt I have completed using Frida as a fussy cut. The bold colors and black and white prints I chose this time took Frida to Africa. She is now hanging in The Day of The Dead show at Art Presence in Jacksonville, Oregon. All three Frida's started as a fabric challenge using French General fabric line. The first was Frida's Garden in Mexico and the second was Friday in Paris. For the last few years I have been working my quilting projects into art-galleries. For most of my quilting years the art world has considered quilting as "not belonging in galleries." That is ridiculous and Frida fussy cuts are changing that for me. All three have been accepted in several different art galleries and have received positive feedback. The first two have sold. I have two more Frida fussy cuts. Where should I take Frida next?
