This summer we went on a wonderful trip to Seattle, WA and then took the train down to Portland, OR to visit our two daughters and son-in-law. On the way to Portland, we got some stressful news which I bottled in until I got home . . .
. . . once home, I let it all go by making a quilt!! What a wonderful way to work through any hyperventilating, overthinking and frustration I may have been experiencing .
I used a Layer Cake of Lost and Found 2 by My Mind's Eye for Riley Blake as well as some coordinating fabric. The pattern can be found in Missouri Star Quilt Company's late summer Block magazine and is called "Disappearing Hourglass". I've included the link to the video below. It is a fun quilt in which you make several hourglasses, cut them apart and then resew them as stars . . . really fun to watch them change!
This quilt went together quickly but now its time to sandwich and quilt it together.
