Wonky house block
For this month Dana asked us to do a house block - wonky or traditional. I was quite excited as it is a block I have been wanting to try. I chose to use fishstickdesign.com - this is a sort of paper piecing. I traced pattern pieces onto freezer paper - another new technique - and then cut the pieces from here. It was quick to make and I thoroughly enjoyed making this block.
Colours requested were bright with a little of ourselves thrown in. So I used a shwe-shwe fabric from South Africa for the roof and the house is in a text fabric, as I love anything text. I put puppies in the windows as Dana says on her bio she has a dog - and I didn't have any cat or gecko fabric (her other pets)
Just need to make the Ziggy block
