Description

I needed another Yankee Swap item AND wanted to use my new Brother's 1/4" foot as it is different than one on my Janome and wanted to test it out. It does not have an edge and I was worried how it would go...well like everything else, so far and knock on wood, about this machine it was a dream to use.  So one table runner done using part of a Candy pack of Mirabelle by Fig Tree as well as some leftover yardage from one of their older lines.  Need to quilt it next weekend and try to find something to bind it with?????

Update 11-28-14  All done and ready to be washed.  Had some left over mini squares so also made a mug rug...cannot waste this lovely fabric!!

11-29-14 Washed, dried and ready for gifting

Mymble

Beautiful fabrics- can't wait to see this one all quilted and bound.

  • and that is the exact same 1/4" foot I have for my Elna- I love it.

Mymble thank you...trying to decide how out of my comfort zone to go with quilting;-). And I thought I was going to hate that foot and LOVED it!!

HawkFan

Such pretty fabrics. You're making a lot of swap items Ms. Turbo

HawkFan thank you...trying to be prepared as they tend to creep up on me and then I have nothing...

cally68

pretty fabric. I love this simple runner. I have a couple of mini charm sets in aspen frost I've been hoarding. I may have to use this tutorial. I have a janome foot and the thought of switching to another one is sooo scary to me.

cally68 I felt same way about foot and it was such a non-issue and I really liked it (I use pins and yes I sew over them and it made that part very easy as they did not hit edge if out to far). I realized I had some of this mini charms and had not used them so needed to start figuring something out! I have enough left I may try a mug rug with them. And thank you.

Caribousmom

Love this fabric and your runner really highlights it! Like how you quilted this one, Mary :)
