Description

This is my first try at the little quilt Drawn Together. After several attempts to pull fabrics that worked for me, I happened to look at the pillow I made with Tula Pink's Acacia and decided to use leftovers from that project.  I decided I didn't want to use white for the background, so used an orange/white sketch fabric.  I added a 1/2 inch background all the way around as I want to hand quilt a line of stitches around the outside of the outer star. Thanks to +True for the link to instructions that helped minimize fabric waste.   I was happy to finally open a package of Carol Doak's Foundation Paper that I bought about a year ago.
Finished.  The hand quilting doesn't match my imagination, but I did it in white, so it doesn't show the imperfections so much. Now I can't find the camera charger - kindle picture will have to do.

Skynme True and nachtpedalquilts Thank you all - my first photos are all late night so the colors will show better when I take a finished picture in daylight.

Great fabric choices. I considered using a non-white background and love how yours looks!

Lovely - and the orange back ground sketch fabric really makes your colour choice pop. So many beautiful interpretations of this mini

Great job. Loved seeing it in a different background color. I am going to use Mary's link for fabric cutting because I hate wasting fabric.
