Carolmarie Thanks, Carol. I have found choosing one fabric I love and then going from there really helps me with fabric selection.
Carolmarie I spoke with a college art teacher recently who said color value is one of the hardest things for people to learn.
Carolmarie I think when they talk about "muddy" the are referring to quilts that use all the same value. Another way to think about value is light, medium, dark.
Carolmarie I think what she meant was that people understand the concept - Wendy has a great, simple explanation - but they have a hard time doing a good job of balancing color value in their work, no matter the medium
