Description

Started working on my version of "My Heart" again trying to decide on fabrics took me forever and I started project and then totally changed out fabric.

Update 2-5-14 Done and just needs to be washed and dried. I did raw edge applique but did do it differently than I usually do it...I did not use fusible interfacing instead help hearts down with some glue until stitching was done.  And then stitched around each heart three times.  I put on the thin gray border as was going to add another wider border and then decided like it like it was so just moved onto binding.

ArloDeanQuilts

So far this one is my favorite!

Capetowngirl

Beautiful. I pulled fabric, put them away, pulled some more. Left them to see if they grew on me. But no still can't decide if I am going to do this one.

True

Capetowngirl thank you! I did the exact same thing and was close to not going for it and for some reason AFTER I cut other fabric for hearts came to this grouping.

Cseawright Carolmarie thank you so much. I seldom change my mind like I have with these mini quilts but realized I am trying to pull from my stash and build as I go and it is a different creative process for me. And a good one as I am learning new things!

Caribousmom thank you so much...love Tula Pink as her fabric was the inspiration!

Oh and I love the raccoon peaking out - just brilliant!

True

Mymble ;-) I had another one but screwed up the cutting and did not have enough fabric left to redo... but decided it all worked out for best!

cally68

Oh my gosh! This is adorable! I love the little Tula Pink raccoon poking through the windmill. So cute!

HawkFan

Just love this - the fabrics and colors and that raccoon!

True

HawkFan cally68 thank you both!

Ranchmom

Love your fabrics and I also think the raccoon is adorable peeking out at us.

Quilt455

Well, I love these fabrics choices. You did great. I hope to get mine started this weekend.

True

Ranchmom thank you so much and Quilt455 thanks I still have a long way to go until this one is done!

JudyBR

I really like your fabric choices--the orchid and aqua look great together and the cream really makes your heart appliques pop. Your quilting design on the pinwheels is great!

HawkFan

Wonderful. In the picture the gray border almost looks like piping - gives it a great look

True

HawkFan JudyBR thank you both...it is so not my usual colors but have it hanging in sewing room, for now and maybe forever who knows, and I really like it. Audrey...if I had realized I was going to stop with just the gray as border I would have made it wider but really like how it looks and you have nailed why!!

Quilt455

This is wonderful. I love the fabric you picked for your binding and your grey border rocks.

True

Quilt455 thank you so much!
