Doll Clothes Shop Sample 2015 by Speattle
UPDATE: The shop owner sent me a photo of the little doll on display. She confirms that the sample has helped to move a lot of the product.
I made this as a shop sample for a local fabric retailer. This will be displayed with the fabric panels for making the little 18 inch doll outfit.
Kind of fiddly and the directions printed on the panel were confusing, but there linked tutorial has pictures that make it easier. Because I've done a lot of sewing, I was able to figure this out, but a beginner would have been frustrated.
The capri pants have a detail on the leg that is in the panel directions, but when you look at the online tutorial the designer states that she did her leg differently than the directions that come with the panel. I went ahead and did the directions on the panel, but honestly, the directions were not very clear, but I muddled through.
In the end though this did turn out darling and the shop owner was very pleased.
If anyone is going to buy this and sew it up, be sure to look at the online directions to save yourself some bother.
I forgot to put the headband in the photo!
