Description

Eiffel Tower motif done with one or two strands of embroidery floss on natural linen fabric.  I'm using it as the center panel on the large size perfect zip bag style C, by Elizabeth Hartman.

This is perfect with Moda's etchings collection - one of the fabrics features a map of paris!

Motif from A Rainbow of Stitches.  You can see my review here: *book-of-the-week-a-rainbow-of-stitches

Can't wait to see your finished tote bag!

Ooo! That's going to be cute. I can hardly wait to see it.

Chenry - It will be much smaller than a tote - 5” x 9” x 21⁄2” The Eiffel Tower is only about 6" tall!

Thanks Fidissimus! I'm still trying to decide on exact fabric placement. I think the map fabric is going to be too busy adjacent to the embroidery, so may do that for the back side, or just the interior. Need to go lay it out and look.

Great embroidery, Rebecca! I think the Paris map fabric would be a lovely surprise in the interior of the bag.

Thanks! This embroidery was really fun to do and went surprisingly fast. I actually have the bag part done (and have for a while now). I didn't have the right strap hardware to complete everything so I didn't photograph it yet. I do have the hardware now though, so I need to whip up a quick strap and photograph the finished bag!
