Description

I'm using 30's fabrics I bought at Quilt House Yama, in Kichijoji, Tokyo, when the owner retired and closed the doors--everything was 200 yen per yard.

I'm making this for my mother-in-love. It has minkee on the back--love that!

Quilting design is called "Slip Stitch"--it is beautiful!!!

Mother's Day gift for DMIL. ♥

would love to have this pattern. Is it able to be downloaded?

gran2seven I love this pattern!!! It's so versatile. It was written in 2007, so that's before pdfs were used for quilt patterns. It is available on paper though, in a number of places online. Look for "Fat Quarter Frolic" by Larisa Key Designs.

I love these fabrics! And thanks to the internet, I now know that was $1.63/yard! Wow!

Ibtreerock Thank you! It was quite the event when she had her close out sale--us quilters were in long lines that went around the store. It was one meter minimum, so we'd each buy one meter of every bolt we could carry, then go home and cut it up and swap with our quilt friends. The quilter in front of me picked up and bought an entire bolt of 108" wide fabric, at 200 yen per meter! That was the first quilt shop to open in Japan, so we were all sad to see it close. She was open for 20+ years. I guess we were all glad to help her clear everything out, at those prices!
