Description

+Hawkfan selected a weathervane block for the Threaddivas for May. Her samples were so colorful and appealing, I wanted to get started right away.  I selected two fabric combinations and decided to make both.  They are the simple kind with the same fabric for the center and all the 2.5 inch squares, and a lighter shade of the same color for the rectangles.   Then I was disappointed that I hadn't found a fabric combination where I could fussy cut for the center, so kept looking.  The last block breaks her guidelines for colors somewhat, but  maybe it will work for her anyway!

They are all wonderful!! I can't believe how fast you re and how you whipped out 3 so quickly. I am SO slow! But what do you mean that the last block broke with her guidelines?

Readerowl

Terryt1955 Thanks! The center of #3 has two colors with the blue background and aqua butterfly, plus the black and white.

Karen they are all beautiful and if I hadn't read your response I would have had no idea how the butterfly block broke the rules. It's wonderful. Thank you so much!!

Readerowl I just assumed you were fussy cutting not being a rule breaker. Besides, HawkFan is not going to send you to the dean's office.
