Description

This 24" X 20" table topper uses triangle and diamonds (cut with a rule vs. a template) to create a hexagon shape. I adapted the free pattern by Malka Dubrowsky which I found on the Moda website (but I'll be darned if I can find it again - all I can tell you it was from the Fall of 2011). I used 6 fat quarters and had quite a bit of leftover so I made a scrappy binding...and still had a lot leftover. I could have actually done a pieced back, but chose to use a turquoise solid instead.

I used fabric from the Utopia collection by Frances Newcombe for Art Gallery. I love the bright colors in this fabric!

I did simple straight line echo quilting and stitched on a customized label made by Sweetwater.

Ohhh, look at all those beautiful purples! This wasn't the one you were making at the retreat or I would have slipped it inside my tote!

Terryt1955 and then blamed the missing project on Conniharns

True Caribousmom HawkFan Terryt1955 Quilt455 This is beautiful! I missed this when you posted. I wanted to see how you quilted this as I am ready to do mine.....and I see all these..shall we say " horrendous comments" about my sickness!!!! Y'all are too funny!!

Terryt1955

Sorry Conniharns , your reputation precedes you! Show us a picture of your topper!

Terryt1955 I shall when I get it done!! Pinned and ready to quilt.! Surprised Wendy didn't tell on me about the last thing I "borrowed"!!!! I had it for at least 2 wks! She stopped by one day and I gave it to her! She didn't even know it was missing.....makes me laugh even harder!!

Conniharns Just goes to show you how distracted I've been! LOL. I really do need to start sewing those anti-theft devices into my projects!

Quilt455 Thanks, Cathie!

Terryt1955 This was the one I did as a test of the pattern before the retreat :)
