Description

Totally inspired by Ashley (Film In The Fridge) and her amazing tutorial

Double gauze is a real pain to work with, but it's so beautiful and soft I'm sure the end result will be worth it. Already wondering how to quilt it. I think hand-quilting would be AMAZING on this, but my stitchery isn't up to scratch. I've seen quite a few quilts made with C+S bespoke have been tied, but personally I'm not too keen. I'm thinking minimal straight line machine quilting, unless I can find someone to hand-quilt it?!

The quilt you linked to is absolutely gorgeous! I love the pattern! I can't wait to see your version. But question.... What is double gauze? All I can think of is gauze for wound dressings.

Love this! That fabric looks beautiful, but crazy hard to work with. Can't wait to see it when you finish.

Ibtreerock Hi! I hadn't heard of double-gauze fabric until Cotton+Steel released it last year. You can see their video about it here:

It is a bit like the gauze for wound dressings - just two layers of it joined together every centimetre. It's really hard to work with, but oh so soft and gorgeous. <3
