This will be cheerful quilt...love the fabric with white flower. Will look forward to seeing it finished.
I can tell you are going to be a quick study. You have the "feel" and the "eye" for making beautiful quilts.
haha! I hope so Terry!
Oh, orange - perhaps my most favorite color for quilts ever! Can't wait to see what you are going to do with all of this!
I like this! I need to figure out what I'm doing with mine....
I agree, great eye for choosing colors. And paper piecing in your second quilt? Way to go! Can't way to see this one finished!
I'm now to the quilting stage - finished assembling the back yesterday and basted last night. Trying to not show the whole thing until after my guild meeting since I know some of my guild members are on Threadbias.
I can hardly wait to see...when is that meeting!??
not until late June!
Ooooh, I really want to see this one finished :) Do we really have to wait until the end of June!??!
I am so not patient...this could be a long month;-)!!
Did you use all your strips? I ended up with a couple that really just don't go with the rest. Thinking I may pull them and save for another project.
I didn't. There were some that were too golden/yellow/other colored that just looked bizarre with the rest. And a few prints that just weren't my taste. I pulled those to use for something else. But still had enough strips left over (with a few I cut from my fabrics) that I could bind it with them.
Ok good. I was feeling like if I was choosy with them I maybe wasn't working in the spirit of the project, but because I only swapped one bag there isn't enough diversity to balance out the the oddball ones. Still thinking about what I want to do - luckily I have another month.
I had swapped two bags, so I didn't mind including some that I didn't love, because it all looked okay once it was pieced, but some I just couldn't get to work. I can't wait to see what you come up with? Any ideas what size you are going for?
Wow, this is more exciting than the unveiling of an iphone! Does this mean Rebecca will be showing us one as well? I was in the fabric store yesterday and kept picking up orange bolts of fabric but they just didn't do service to the rest of the fabric.Next quilt!
Small. I already made one orange quilt this year for the Tangerine Tango Quilt Challenge and don't want to spend a ton of time, but still wanted to participate in the guild challenge.
Yep, Terryt1955 I'll be revealing one too!
All this anticipation of new quilt reveals is killing me!! Love it:-)
Orange is such a great color- heard a designer say (on HGTV) that the great thing about orange is that you never match it with other oranges- it cannot be matched for some reason, and therefore matches with any other orange (by default I guess)-apparently this is not the case with all other colors. Your quilt is going to be fantastic- can't wait to see. I have a small stash of orange- this is inspiring me;)
Wow I love this so cheerful and bright...love the orange heart playing so nicely with that white. Just beautiful:-)
Love it- love all the fabrics against the white and the design- really great!
Okay - I totally love this (and it is not just because I love the color orange!!). I love the simplicity of it - and the quilting is great!
Jess I was just talking about your orange quilt to True last night and here you are posting the finished product. It is absolutely wonderful. I love it and I'm not an orange person but this I love. The quilting is wonderful too. I can't believe this is your second quilt. I was right when I predicted you were going to be a quick study.!
