Description

The children are not the only people in need of totes for organization.  I've been meaning to make myself some custom sized box and wedge bags for knitting projects while on the road.  This one fits two 100g+ cakes of sock yarn inside.  The main fabric used is a table cloth for Target from their Orla Kiely collection they had a couple of years back.

I am obsessed with pens and have all sorts pf pencil bags but nothing as cute as these. I am terrified of zippers but I'm just going to have to take the plunge because these are just TOO cute to pass up. Thanks so much for the tutorial. Ps. I love how you repurposed the tablecloth. Cute!!!

Thank you! Zippers are really not that scary. They can be a little putzy, but they're not terrible.

"I'm going in" and trying it this weekend. Plus my mom will be here so she can show me how! Chicken me....

I love this and so agree about your creative use of a table cloth! I use to hate zippers but I have made a couple of things in past year with them and could not believe how easy the directions made them to put in...sure did not seem that way when I used to sew clothes many moons ago!

I thought I recognized that fabric! I loved that Orla Kiely line... so cute on that bag.

I wish she'd make actual fabric-fabric. I adore so many of her motifs and would definitely buy them all up. heartbeat
