Since I've been getting into sewing a bit this past year, I've been thinking that it would be fun to make a quilt. I researched it a bit online and looked at fabric at the Jo-Ann's, but it's always quite expensive. My mom found a quilting kit at Ross, and since she knew I have been wanting to try my hand at quilting, and since it only $10 she picked it up for me. It's kit is just all the fabric that is needed, a pattern, directions on how to put it together.
I started it in September, but all I've had left for months now was the quilting part. I tried doing it with the regular sewing foot, but that didn't work very well, so after some research I bought an even feed sewing foot on Amazon. All the cutting and piecing went to together easily. The hardest part for me was the binding. I'm going to get a lot of use out of it!
