Love it-the fabrics with the white are so cheerful!
Oh, I'm looking forward to seeing this one finished. I bought yard cuts of all the fabrics (can you tell I am a huge Denyse Schmidt fan??!? LOL). I have no idea what I'm going to do with it...so I am eagerly looking at other peoples' projects for inspiration!
Oh, I can't wait to see either! I loved some of the prints, but some just really didn't strike my fancy (haha...gosh that was bad, but I couldn't resist!). I ordered some half yard cuts of the ones I like but still haven't cut into them yet. I think I may use a few in my next quilt and keep others to add to future quilts. Have to say that I've loved every quilt I've seen using this fabric line though!
I love everything Denyse Schmidt! I can't wait to see what pattern you are going to use these in.
Ok- I should really look at all pictures before commented. LOL. I do like it with the white...which is strange for me. I find anything I make with these fabrics I tend to go white.
Yummy. I love FMF and I really like how you've teamed it up with just the right amount of white to showcase the line.I think I better join the club and get me some before it runs out again....
Love, love, love how this is coming together...now I have not been big in the collection but seeing it now...love it!
Love how the blocks are coming together!
I love this top! I keep thinking I need to get some FMF and just haven't yet. I need to get on that...
Thanks Amanda! Get some, you'll love it. The colors are a lot more vibrant in real life than they appear on line, even prettier!!
Your quilt top is beautiful. I love combining white with prints. You did a great job. Any idea how you might quilt it?
Juicyapplecreations Thank you!! My plan is to quilt in straight lines 1/4" on either side of the seams then to add something in those white centers, not sure what, but I'm thinking a concentric square.
I like the idea of straight line quilting. It will look wonderful. Do you use spray basting to sand which your quilts or do you pin?
Juicyapplecreations I pin baste, but I have been wanting to try spray basting. I think it would be great for small projects, but not sure how it would work for a big quilt.
Love how this one came together. Excited to see it quilted - all that white space is just looking like it needs lots of pretty quilting.
I use 505 spray basting and it works great. I don't have to worry about the fumes. It is safe to spray indoors. I have quilted two large quilts using straight line and they have turned out wonderful. I am not sure if I have the patience to pin. :)
Juicyapplecreations Thanks for the info. I will definitely try it. I can't say that I enjoy pin basting - it
oops, I hit "comment" before I finished. I was going to say it hurts my fingers!! :(
What I like about spray basting is I can smooth out or make any adjustments as I quilt. This helps to make sure I did not have any puckers on the back. I find it easy to use.
Have you used the spoon trick to close your pins? That totally saves my fingers.
I finally jumped in and bought 1/2 yard cuts of the whole line. Now I'm just drooling over it and imagining what to do with it. I don't want to just start any old pattern so I'm sure I'll deliberate way too long. Quilter's block, right? But I really like the way this pattern shows it off and makes it feel very vintage.Might just have to copy you!
I use the Kwik Klip basting tool - a Godsend for closing pins: http://www.amazon.com/Kwik-Klips-Basting-Quilt-Layers/dp/B0016IZIJI
I love this quilt...so pretty with this fabric. I am getting ready to cut into my FMF yardage...thinking of making the Spin Cycle quilt with it: http://cluckclucksew.bigcartel.com/product/spin-cycle-quilt-pattern-129-hard-copy
This is a very pretty quilt with the white contrasting so crisply with the colors. I love the big spaces for some fun quilting designs.
[https://www.threadbias.com/users/terryt1955] I'd be flattered if you did!! I wish I had bought the whole line so I could've added more colors to this quilt.
This is beautiful! Love it...
WOW! Love the fabrics, the design and the quilting! Great job!
This came out so beautiful. I love all the white. And I love that photo with the flowers. Ahhhhhhhhh!
