Description

This is my all time favorite scrap busting project.  Plus? It's green!  Instead of throwing away small scraps of fabric AND throwing away used cotton balls - both are so wasteful - I've made micro-quilts out of my sewing scraps to replace the cotton balls in the bathroom.  It's a win-win.  Plus? These are way cuter then any cotton ball.  I use them to remove make-up or apply astringent like witch hazel... pretty much anything you'd use a cotton ball for.  When I'm done, I chuck them in the laundry, wash them and use them again.  The only down side is, they're a bit like socks.  After awhile they tend to go MIA... so I just whip up a few more.  But don't worry.  They're easy-peasy to make.  Click here for my tutorial.

I'm going to a bridal shower picnic next Saturday. The bride-to-be is very 'green'. I think she'll love these! Thanks!

@Terrykes, hope she liked them!

My daughter has been using her dad's old hankerchiefs, but she's been wanting some of these - thanks for the tutorial!!

Jennifleur

Lizziequilts You're welcome! The bad news is, they're like socks when you wash them. So many have gone missing now, I need to make some more too. lol.

Juline

You could wash them in a mesh hosiery bag to keep them from going missing.

Jennifleur

Oh Juline , there you go being all logical and such! wink

Juline

I'm saying you could. I doubt I'd actually be able to remember to do it, but it would solve the problem ;).
