Jaw dropping! I love that you decided to use straight line quilting vs. an allover...really flows with the quilt. This is beautiful.
I love this quilt!
I love front and back...a zig zag quilt is in my someday list...really like this one:-)
I have seen this pattern before but didnt pursue it because of the triangles so I'm so glad you shared another way. I will definitely be looking into this pattern. And the colors are definitely highlighted by the solid brown. I don't usually use brown (exposed to too much of it growing up with my mom) but this quilt is enjoyable. It's happy! Thanks again for the non-triangle version. You are a treasure on this site!
Terryt1955 Aw, you are so sweet! Making a zig zag the non-triangle way is really fast. Like you, I rarely use brown in my quilts...for this one, I pulled a lot of different colored solids, but nothing seemed to be right except that brown! So I went with it :)
I love chevron quilts. There's something so simple yet so striking about them and this one is particularly bold with the choice of color! Love it! I like the piecing, never thought not to do it without triangle piecing, but I get how much easier it would be. Add it to the list of things I want to make!
Caribousmom I cannot get the tutorial to come up when I get to her site...is it similar to this one or different...thanks! http://beesquarefabrics.blogspot.com/2009/03/how-to-make-zig-zag-quilt-without.html
So glad to hear from someone who has tried it!
WOW...this is great! I have never tried zig-zag but I am fascinated by the look.
