Description

We had these hats sitting in the shop.  The manufacturer suggested monograms for them but they just didn't look great.  Even in the south where people like to monogram everything, nobody runs around with their hats monogrammed!     So, I took this dandelion design and embroidered it onto the hats.  And I added a funky little dragonfly on the white hat.

These are beautiful! Love your choice of design...much better than a monogram!!

Speattle

Very pretty and great idea. How did you fit them into a hoop?

Chrissybugs

I have a flat frame for these kinds of things. It works great on tote bags, golf bags- anything that works better flat.

Thanks for the compliments!

These are so attrctive. I bet they'll fly off the shelves! And lucky you to have an embroidery machine capable of this. Envious!!!

Speattle

I am new to ME and am wondering what is a "flat frame"? Is that different than a hoop? Is your embroidery machine like a sewing machine or like one of the big stand alone pro machines?

Chrissybugs

It's a commercial machine with 16 spools. Your machine has rectangular "hoop" that is an embroidery hoop. Some thick or stiff fabrics won't manage that bend through the hoop. So, instead you have a system that just holds things very flat.

Beautiful- and my 16 yr. old said "cool hat" :))))

Speattle

Facepalm! If I had taken the time to read your profile I would have seen that you have a commercial machine and shop!

Chrissybugs

Speattle, no big deal! Except that you have to change threads, you can do what I do with the right frame.
