Description

I'm sewing a set of four cubes with different geometric shapes appliqued to each face. The faces are cotton and the shapes are flannel. They are:
-Pink circle sewn onto blue with brown thread
-Blue octagon sewn onto pink with purple thread
-Green triangle sewn onto yellow with red thread
-Yellow square sewn onto green with orange thread
-White heart symbol sewn onto black with grey thread
-Black star sewn onto white with gray thread.
I adhered all the applique pieces with Steam-A-Seam 2 to avoid having them slip during stitching. After the appliqued pieces were stitched on, I sewed the cubes together. The pink and blue sides, yellow and green sides, and black and white sides are opposite each other.

I would have finished these sooner, but I had to take two weeks off after getting my wisdom teeth out--my face was too sore to lean over a sewing machine.

Wow, this is quite a project - and although it sounds like a lot of work, I would think this would be very satisfying to sew!

Janquilter

What fun! They will make great toys. So cute, too.

The project would be easier if I hadn't taken two weeks off from sewing to get my wisdom teeth out. :)

True, you are probably not as wise now, as you once were.
