Description

These applique patterns are found in The Best of Baltimore Beauties and other Baltimore books by Elly Sienkiewicz.  The Ruches Lyre block was fun and the ruching a little challenging..but I just followed the directions in the book and it worked! I have two other blocks that have escaped me, but I'll locate them and that will give me 5 blocks done!

Wow- these are stunning! I'm just learning needle turn and wish my lines looked as smooth and uniform as yours.

Just gorgeous! Beautiful work. Just remember Kristenblake, no one looks as closely at your work as you do! bouquet

WOW!!! I'm envious. I've always admired these kind of quilts and thought they would be impossible. Your blocks are beautiful!

When making vines, just take a 1 1/4 inch strip of "vine fabric" and fold longways, wrong sides together, like binding. Sew it together wuth a 1/4 inch seam. When done, fold in half again, using the seam as a guide and iron..you have a perfect vine to pin on and applique!
