Description

While watching an old movie, the dance scene showed a tile floor. I watched for a few minutes, then grabbed my notebook and sketched it out, thinking "hey, this looks like a Modern quilt". In the photo the aqua and lime look a bit washed out compared to the true colors. They are, however pastels, not brights.

This does not reflect my favorite colors, nor do I usually work with solids unless the quilt is Amish, but something just struck me about this. I guess maybe the timeless quality of the design.

Lots of Y seams but I have not forgotten how to do them.

I am hoping it will be machine quilted (and therefore finished) by a local machine quilter who can use my machine. :-)

You know I love this one - and I'm sure your local quilter will be happy to finish it soon...
