Description

This is bag #436. ;-) I make bags like there's no tomorrow! I used scraps from my stash and some reclaimed linen from a pair of pants I didn't wear anymore. I also quilted my version, unlike the original.

Lovely! It looks really roomy - how big is it?

True

This is wonderful!

hanks! It is 12 in. wide, by 11 high, and 5 in. deep. So it is pretty roomy for an everyday purse, and it also has a lot of pockets, which I love. The pattern is from the summer issue of Quilts & More magazine, so I'm sure you've seen it on the cover while waiting in your local grocery store checkout line :-) http://www.allpeoplequilt.com/magazines/quiltsandmore/qam-table-contents_1.html Aside from using batting and quilting, instead of just interfacing (way too hot these days to apply fusibles) I also made a stabilizing insert for the inside bottom of the bag out of flexible template plastic covered with the lining fabric.

That would be "thanks" :-)
