Description

I made these little toys for a sweet little girl and her baby brother. The doll pattern is a free pattern offered by The Black Apple and featured on Martha Stewart. The blocks were pieced very simply with squares and I improvised the little patchwork quilt.

There is embroidery on two solid sides of each block - all those designs were from Sublime Stiching by Jenny Hart.

They were so much fun to make, and I liked using fabrics for that coordinated and were pretty gender-neutral.

Just wanted to update this because the blue solid I used in the blocks and the doll quilt are Essex Linen/Cotton blend. It was awesome to work with, and especially nice to embroider on. I also made a dress and a skirt from the fabric and I still have some bits and pieces left - don't want to let those scraps go!
