Description

Digging through my sewing room I found this mess. At one point it was a log cabin quilt in progress... now, I'm not so sure. I like it, I have all the material, including the back, but I've just never picked it back up again. I think I need to start by plugging in the iron.

Update 10/1/2012 - All my strips and pieces got pressed by +Janquilter!! (Thank you!) So they are ready to sew... whenever I find the time!

Pretty and sweet fabrics, that would make one beautiful quilt. But, yes I for one, would love to see the picture when it is all ironed and in a nice neat stack. This photo is a little stressful to look at! I think to myself... fabric stored that way takes up way to much room. :) I just want to straighten it!!

Caribousmom

Oh, those fabrics look sweet - I can't wait to see this all pressed out...yes, finish it so we can oooh and ahhhh!!!

Janquilter

I don't recall seeing this one...it will be fun to see where you go with it. I have many UFO's that have just sat in the closet.

True

Ditto everyone else...too bad we all don't live nearby we could all help press it out:-)

Amanda

Thanks! I need to press, for sure. It was never meant to be in the bag it was, but we moved, it never got unpacked... and then hidden away. I really like the fabrics still so hopefully seeing them will get me motivated to get working!

Terryt1955

Sewzalot you made me laugh about this picture causing you to stress out. I was right there with you wanting to scoop it up and iron it. You know how in the quilt books they give credit to the person who pieces the quilt, binds it and quilts it? Well I could be the professional presser! If you live near San Jose Amanda I'm your gal!

Laweigel

LOL! I thought this was funny, as I have quite a few UFO's that I come across that have been tucked away from a big move! This should be on a book cover titled "How To Press Your UFO's and Finish Them". Looks like it will be a darling quilt.

Janquilter

FYI, I press really well. Just sayin' :-)

True

Well I sure know whose house I would be taking this too;-)

Amanda

Janquilter , you are WELCOME to press all those blocks and strips! Anytime!

Sewzalot

Janquilter, Please please press Amandas strips. sweat

Janquilter

Amanda Those are very pretty fabrics. It will be lovely as a quilt. getting out the cheer leader pompoms and giving them a wave Laweigel I think you would have a best seller!

Sewzalot

Amanda , I would love to see the strips pressed by Janquilter picture. I'm not certain, but think I have nightmares of these pink strips. Maybe the pressed strip picture will cure them.
