Description

This is my first official quilt!! I was inspired by wanting a King size blanket for my bed that was big enough for my husband and I (he's a cover stealer!). He picked out the fabric and actually designed the quilt from a pattern I had (but, what redneck man wouldn't be excited to have their very own Realtree John Deere quilt in their bedroom, haha). I am learning how to quilt from my grandmother and I have really been enjoyed the experience so far. Now, if only my son would let me sew more!!!

I also quilted this quilt myself. My friend's mother owns a longarm and I was able to quilt it myself! I used an inkblot pattern and what fun it was!!! I feel very accomplished and love to show this quilt off when we have people over! Except...now everyone wants a quilt!

Wow! Starting out with a King size is impressive! Your husband can obviously not complain that this quilt is girly! It looks like you are doing a great job!

Oh, my gosh! My husband would love this!!! (The avid hunter, that he is.) He keeps asking my to make him a quilt... this just might be my inspiration.

Wow, you can't get more manly than this! So cool that you had access to a long arm and made it all yourself from beginning to end. What will be your next project?

Terryt1955 I am working on a lap quilt, I'm halfway done, it's a houndstooth pattern! I just uploaded a pic of the rows I have sewn together so far!
