Description

I was given this tabletop ironing board for free recently but it had seen better days.  I finally got my act together to re-cover it because it was really bugging me (the cover it came with was ill-fitting and falling off).  I replaced the padding.  Fabric is from Joann's.  I followed the instructions in the One Yard Wonders by Rebecca Yaker.

Amanda

I love cute ironing boards! Mine badly needs recovering. So many spots and stains!

True

That is the prettiest cover I have ever seen...mine looks horrible!

Thanks ladies! My large board is really really bad! Maybe I'll have a go at that one soon.

This is cute. Makes you want to iron. Love the happy fabric! I just inherited my mom's small board that she uses for sleeves and such. I was using it and the fabric was literally disentigrating with every push of the iron. As I tore off the hokey coverings I realized it was an ironing board my dad had made for my mom over 50 years ago!

Amanda if you are going to make one...you could make 2!! :-)

love the cover.. I bought some fabric for my ironing board and my big board , in a color outside of my box... but I thought I would give it a try. Was it hard to cover the ironing board?

I just read that it was from the one yard wonders... well I will be darned.. I have that book.

Aha, I thought I spotted a tabletop ironing board there! Aren't they nity? I love the fabric, it's a really cheery choice. I enedd up recovering my tabletop ironing board with a tea towel, but it's now buried down the back of the sofa, as I ended up repurposing a side table instead.
