Description

Had 2 days to make a present for my husbands sister's grandaughter.  His sister breeds miniature Daschunds so that gave me the idea.  Had to make the sister one too.  The pattern is free online made in fur fabric but being a quilter it had to be cotton.

Too cute! I ❤ them. We have a Dachs festival in the town next door in July every year.

Thank you. It must be quite a sight to see tons of Dachs running around. I thought it was mad at my SIL's with just 10 or so. That is enough to have my dog (10 times the size) pinned in the corner :)

Oh I am loving this!

I just made a doxie softie by RetroMama last night. It's very quick and easy. You did a fantastic job with these - they are as smooth as the real doggies, and just as cute! I'm in love with the fabric choice on the brown one...I think it's from a line called Java, isn't it? I might have to see if I have some of that left in my stash! It was brilliant to use quilting cottons, and the patchwork one is fantastic. One more thing...love the noses!

Eamylove Thank you. I tried the pattern because it was free but actually did not like the picture of it in fur. I was just lucky that it worked so well with cotton fabric. The brown fabric is a FQ of Moda Bistro Brown Latte - Mosaic. I can squeeze one dog out of 1 FQ. The noses are a fiddle to sew but clever little design and come out looking really effective. Funny enough I just came across the doxie pattern yesterday and love love it! So can't wait to see yours.
