Description

I took this Sue Garman quilt and am making it into two wall hanging quilts for my twin girls.  I started on this WAY before they were born.  I'll finish it some day...

*Update 01/07/2013*
I'm still in progress with handquilting.  I'm struggling with what to do for the border. I'm not sure if I'm happy with the stencil I bought at Quilt Fest.  I'm also annoyed with how to mark on white fabric.  I've had problems with Roxanne gray pencils and blue markers. Ideas?

Hi, Maura! Yes! I have a suggestion for marking on the white. Try a Frixion pen! These are the greatest thing since the invention of the rotary cutter. You can buy them at Staples or online. There were more options, prettier colors, online compared to my Staples. Some quilting stores are now carrying them. They look like a pen, but the minute you touch the fabric with a warm iron, the marks disappear. You can get great, crispy marks on fabric to follow and then, wha-lah, they disappear. I would do a test on the fabric you are using first, but I have not had any trouble so far. Good luck! Beautiful project.
