Description

I made this quilt for my bestie's baby (gender currently not known).  The baby is due to arrive next week.

I love this pattern and I love the fabric and how the quilt turned out!

I also gave my friend matching fabric baskets.

I just love this pattern and these fabrics are wonderful in it! What a lucky baby:-)

Amanda

This is really lovely. One of my favorite patterns on my "Must do" list, and I love your fabric choices.

Thanks True and Amanda ! I really enjoyed how this quilt came together. I would definitely think of making this one again, in a larger size, for myself :)

Carolmarie Thanks! It's really not as bad as I thought it would be. Once you can get in the groove of sewing the curves, it flows right along. Luckily, the pattern is written for trimming, so once you sew the curves, then you square up the blocks by trimming them...otherwise my seams wouldn't have matched so nicely! Someone gave me a link to a video for sewing the curves without pinning, which worked out nicely.

Melcollette

I love this so much! It looks fantastic, I need to try this sometime. Soon. :)

Quilt455

this is beautiful. What a wonderful gift. I am sure she just loved it

I have pinned this pattern a lot because I love it but have not mustered the nerve to attack the curves. Your fabric choice is perfect for this very lucky baby. LOVE!

Terryt1955

Oh and I'd love to see the baskets too!

Chrissybugs

Nice work! Your piecing is impeccable. Lucky baby!

Janquilter

Cool use of curves! I might have to give this one a try. Love the colors, too.

Mymble

What a great quilt- would love to tackle those curves....maybe when school is out!

Pioneerquilter

Beautiful! You sure are fast!

One of my favorite patterns currently. You've done a fantastic job with it. I hope I can make a quilt like this someday soon!

Terryt1955 If you check out my other projects on here, I have photos of the baskets that I made. Someone had sent me a link to a video tutorial for sewing drunkard's path curves, and I watched that a few times and then did a couple test runs and then just go busy sewing.

Turtlesrs

Pioneerquilter I sure didn't feel very fast in getting this one done... the shower was over month ago. I did have the quilt top completed for the shower, but didn't manage to get the rest done until now

Aizome

Love the design & your choice of fabrics! What a clever pattern! clap

Emedoodle

Oh my goodness! how did I miss this?? Is this the one you finished this week? It's AMAZING! Look at all those perfect curves! I hope you haven't given it away just yet so maybe I can see it at the guild meeting tomorrow!? :)

Sewbusy64

this is beautiful. I would love to make this pattern

Sewbusy64 Thanks! I plan to eventually make a large sized one of these for myself! It's a lot of curve sewing and trimming, but it turns out so great in the end :)
