|This is the first
quilt I ever made when I was pregnant with my son 32 years ago. I had never
quilted, and I didn't know anyone who knew how to quilt. |
It was a kit that I hand appliqued and hand quilted. I used 5/8 inch seams as I was a garment sewer and I didn't know any better. Took me a bit to figure out what I did wrong.
Blog post on this is here.
Really lovely and it sure doesn't look 32 years old!
How cute! I love the applique. it reminds me of an early quilt of mine...we sure learn along the way, huh? I too, used 5/8 in seams on some early ones.
Oddly enough I hate doing applique.
This is one of the sweetest quilts. The appliques are darling and I love the yellow and white background. I think this is definitely one I want to copy for a baby quilt! PINNED!
I love the bright primary colors together!
This is really darling. I hope you have caught the "quilting bug".
Oh so sweet! I love the vintage feel of this beautiful quilt!
