These are great- what a wonderful idea- and thanks for the tutorial! I could see having several made for different categories of cards- right now mine are cluttering up a bulletin board- into the organizers they go!
I love these and since have to carry them for my work I am going to have to make myself one...or two or three thank you!
Oh, I've seen your tutorial before- it's great! Just thinking, these would be fun for a swap item!
True I'll put that on the list then! (I'm thinking the next one after pincushions might not be until after the Holiday season -starting in January)
These are wonderful! I already know I'm gonna make a handful to use as gift card holders for holiday gift giving time!
Lame question here. When youwere sewing the button on how did you avoid sewing the pocket> Wasn;t it hard to get your hand inbetween the pocket and the front piece to sew?
love these, so cute
Oh good, I'm not the only one wondering how to get that button sewed on. Thanks True for watching my back!
Terryt1955 and True ... not a lame question. The hand that was NOT holding the needle and thread was both smooshing the fabric out of the way (practically folding it inside out) and holding the card holder at the same time. Dexterity at its finest! Although, placing the button a little higher and figuring out where you want it in the very beginning would let you sew it on by machine (a zig-zag stitch set at 0) before you even begin sewing the layers together. As long as your presser foot won't hit the button as you sew it up, it can be done as the first step.
Mystery solved. Thanks! Now I just need to master the dexterity part.
I made one of these from your blog tutorial. Super neat project.
