Description

This is my own design... back when I did not know a thing about color value.  I had designed the quilt using general grey for the different prints.  Oups!  The pattern is completely hidden by the difference in value of the prints.  Oh well :)  My mom still loves it (that's what mothers are for, aren't they?).  Thanks mom!

Mymble

What is amazing about this is- the effect you created looks like the pixels in a photograph- if I'm seeing the pic right;)))- and I think I am :)- it's one of those "happy accidents"- I get lots of accidents- but none so "happy"- very clever! And you are right-mom loves it and that is the key. I've been reminding myself recently to stop announcing all the mistakes I made in a piece when I give it to people- just let them love it; mistakes I know about and all!

Now, see, I thought this was amazingly artistic with the way the colors seem to shimmer. I figured you must have a great eye for color placement to achieve that effect! No oops that I can see!

Ditto Janquilter I was and am most impressed! And Mymble I am learning same lesson just shut my mouth and let them love it;-). And Mrsquilt welcome and I look forward to seeing more of your work as if this is what you did before you knew how to quilt I can only imagine now!!

Mrsquilt

I take it back, there is no mistake in this quilt ;)

I second the pixellation effect. I think it's a serendipitous 'oops' where you've succeeded in creating something entirely different from what you intended but the new thing is great in it's own way.

It looks absolutely amazing! I love the pixel look!
