Description

This  pattern I got out  of McCalls Quick Quilts Oct/Nov. 2010.  The original pattern is named Autumn Shoo Fly, I made it using a roll of 21/2 inch strips (jelly roll) of christmas fabrics, I am currently quilting this quilt.

I love the "one-block" quilts. This is a great way to make that one block truly interesting, with all the piecing. It is lovely.

Quite lovely. Is Crissy someone special? Will this be her Christmas gift? I love the winter theme of the fabrics and the fact that there is a lot of blue in it. I love to decorate with blues at Christmas.

Janquilter Thank you for the comments on my quilt. I too love the look of the one block quilts.

Speattle Crissy is like an adopted daughter to me and my middle sons girl friend, she is very special and when I started piecing this quilt she would watch me and tell me how beautiful she thought it was, it will be a christmas gift for her, I almost have it quilted now, I have a hard time doing the quilting on my machine but I think with each quilt I do I am getting better. I plan to do some of the quilting on this with my brother Embroidery machine! Wish me luck.

Speattle

Which machine model is it? Can you put up a post in the group thread to introduce your machine to us. I am fascinated by other people's sewing machine. I'll be interested to learn about quilting with an embroidery machine.

True

I some how missed this one...what a lovely quilt an love how Crissy offered encouragement!

Ranchmom

Thanks for the comments True, I didn't think I would ever get this quilt finished, did not like the quilting, took some out are quilted, just had a hard time finishing it. It is now done and delivered to Crissy and she loves it.
