Description

July 2012: This is one of my more recent UFO's.  I'm sort of hacking this one together and buying fabric a block at a time.  I've got enough for three or four blocks now.  Not much since I want them all to be different and read in a "transparent" sort of way. I also have a lot of other projects I've been working on and haven't really given this one the time it deserves.  I'll try to take pictures of individual blocks as I finish them.
Sept 30, 2012: I think I need to think of this quilt as sort of a BOM and just chip away at it like that.  Of course I'd love it done but we'll see how far I get since other projects are taking priority right now.
Oct. 31, 2012: Note to self, white fabric is Robert Kaufman Ultra Sateen, White.  I'd stash it here but RK isn't available yet.

Treating it like a BOM is a great idea. I really like the scrappy idea behind it, too.

Love this one as well...I like idea of having my own BOM quilt! May try that idea out.

True , right after you finish up some UFO's! wink2 lol

True

Jennifleur LOL I was thinking the excat same thing;-)

True

or exact if I could type!

Strandkorbtraum

ohh that Dhalia print is great .. I'm not good with BOMs, I usually save up 2 or 3 and then have a spurt of energy and get them doen and then it's saving up again ...

if you hadn't mentioned the typo I wouldn't have seen it ..

True

Strandkorbtraum That is good to know given the number of typos I make!!!

Caribousmom

Pretty!

How fun! I look forward to seeing the blocks as they are created.

Chandra

Now I just want to see more...how many blocks have you done?

Laweigel

This is really nice...love your fabrics. I have a Cog and Wheel top done, nicely folded in a drawer :( and the back is even done! I don't know how I'm going to quilt it, so I've stashed it away! I usually hand quilt...any thoughts?

Jennifleur

Chandra , just the one block you see cause I'm too lazy to cut out the white parts. lol! That's why I've got to set this up as a personal BOM, so I don't feel so overwhelmed with all my projects including this one. I'll try to post block pictures as I finish them.
Laweigel , I have no idea. I'm so far from completing the top that it really hasn't crossed my mind yet.

Jennifleur

Laweigel , sorry that's not a very helpful answer!

Jennifleur

Laweigel I see a pattern emerging here... you need to get some of your quilt tops quilted!! wink Look at this beautiful quilting!

This one is also nice and much simpler... I think I might do something like this maybe. Sometimes less is more.

Those quilts were stunning! I usually hand quilt...so I have to go simple! Funny, because yesterday, I got my cog & wheel out to see if I could get motivated to quilt it...thanks for sharing the websites.

Laweigel I'm a little behind in my comments and feel bad. I read everything but sometimes it takes me a while to answer people. So glad my timing is good. I'm really looking forward to seeing what you do with your CW. heart
