Description

4/10/12

When you find an inspirational project, you just have to go with it, don’t you?  This happened yesterday.  I was having a quick look at the blogs on my blogroll before I started trimming the embroidery blocks for Tis The Season, when I saw Karen’s version of Edya Sitar's In Full Bloom.  I raced off, saying “I have the perfect fabric for that and I’m starting it right now!”

I think it will make a sweet little wall hanging for Christmas.

I machine appliqued the vase and flowers, quilted in the ditch and hand stitched the back of the binding and sleeve.

Absolutely- this is part of what the "stash" is for-right?- all our lovelies are sitting on the shelf just waiting for their perfect project! This is so very nice and will make a wonderful Christmas wall hanging!

I love this! Did you hand applique? It will be a lovely Christmas WH.

Chandra

Oh my if you hand appliqued this in a week, I am in awe and happy to become your UFO buddy so I can see what is to come.

Chandra Janquilter I'm appliqueing this on the sewing machine using satin stitch. It is on my got to be finished by the end of the weekend list (before I go back to work), along with Renfield's Larder (quilting and binding) plus Tis The Season (I've just got the binding and sleeve to go).

Chandra

Still awesome! I do both types of applique, just depends on the situation and the inspiration!
