Very cute!! would be great for gift cards!!
Cowgirl4ever That's actually what I have in this one. Someone's getting married this weekend, and I thought they could use something cute to keep their visa gift cards in for the honeymoon. They're going to the beach too.... hence the theme.
Cowgirl4ever Oh, And the tutorial used these to store business cards. I great little idea if you're going to a conference or something.
Mouseinmypocket definately!! My neices get gift cards every christmas. This year I'm not giving them but my parents will. This would be a great thing for my mom to practice her sewing!
Cowgirl4ever I'm sure she'd do great making them. This one only took me about 15 or 20 minutes to cut and piece, so It's a pretty good beginners project. The only difficulty I had was getting the elastic to stay where I wanted it. Of course, I wouldn't have that problem if I would just pin things. ;)
Love this one and the fabric! I ended up making a modified one for my business cards...needed it a bit larger and I ended up not doing elastic as it would not fit well in my ipad case with the button. But love how yours looks!
True Thanks! When did you make yours? Is it on here to see? I'd love to see what fabrics you used.
Mouseinmypocket I didn't take a picture...I used something very subtle since for work. Leftover batik from my Pathway Through The Stars...maroon on outside and a green and maroon for inside. I did it a few weeks ago one night when wanted something quick to do:-)
Mouseinmypocket Here is tutorial I used fabric was 5x10 which also allowed me to use a left over charm... Maybe my cards are longer than most? I don't know but these measurements fit well with them...and because it was flat fit in a pocket in my iPad case.
True nice tutorial. These are made a little differently than mine, which had individual cuts for the pockets (so I could make them from different fabric. The dimensions of mine end up maybe 1/2 an inch smaller. Business cards still fit, but it's a lot more tight.
