Zippers scare me. This is totally adorable, and it would make a cute stocking stuffer!
Really sweet-love your hand stitiching too! I love zippered pouches- this one goes on the To Do Project list ;))))
That is really lovely. I can see it being a very moreish project, too. I'm with Mymble re the To Do Project list.....I've not sewn a zip in before.....but there is no time like the present.
Ok- had to make one-just posted it- but I wasn't as brave as you and I did the Big Dumpling- which still isn't all that big- maybe we need to draft the HUGE Dumpling????
Goldwillow come on, surely you're not afraid of a little zipper! Did you see Sara / sewsweetness's zipper tutorial yesterday? It's a good resourse to start with! :) Zip pouches are my go-to quick projects! http://www.sewsweetness.com/2012/10/zippers-4-ways.html
Mymble yours turned out so nicely!! I'm glad you made one too!
Sewnsew give zips a try! Perhaps do a straight one first unless you're really confident. The tiny curved one was a bit challenging even for me (and I've sewn dozens of zips this year). Check out that zip tutorial above!
OH yeah, and... stick around my bloggy friend and I are working on putting together a zip-pouch blog hop to start after thanksgiving... :) I'll keep you all posted about it!
Emedoodle maybe its time to put on my big girl pants and try them.Worst case scenario I break some needles I guess!
OMG this is so cute...going to check out tutorial!
