20" x 20" Cushion
Based on a wallpaper pattern. Paper pieced in 15 block and 126 pieces. If only I had a house where white would last more than 5 minutes.
I love the design. Is it an original?
Sewexcitedquilts , thank you, the answer to your question is yes and no :) It is not a quilt pattern but the design came from some wallpaper I saw on the Internet. I find that patterns on wallpaper can make for a really good source of inspiration.
I believe it is safe to say you have "knocked it out of the park" again- truly truly wonderful!
I agree with Mymble.....It is marvellous.....and I'm now searching for wallpapers!
This is bloody FANTASTIC!!!
Great!!! Love the teeny stipple-sets off those bold blocks wonderfully.
you should enter that in the solids contest I read about on Threadbias.
Speattle Thank you for pointing it out to me, really sweet of you. Thank you all for the lovely comments.
Just gorgeous!! Can't take my eyes off of it!!!
Wow, this is gorgeous. I agree with Speattle , you should enter this one in the contest. I had to laugh when I read your comment about white! I can so relate :)
You have an amazing eye for creating both design and colors! So ditto others and it should be entered. White what color would that be???!!!
Yep...this is absolutely outside the box in more ways than one. I never thought about wallpaper for inspiration because I haven't used it often. But you can bet I'll be cruising some wallpaper websites from now on. I just love this and you did a great job putting it together.
Wow - you have left me speechless. Absolutely stunning in both design, colour, and technique. Congrats. Karen
This is a great pillow! The stippling makes the solids pop.
How very beautiful. Am so impressed you make your own paper piecing patters.
Thanks for entering your pillow into the Fall For Solids group. Make sure you also enter the contest by going to this page https://www.threadbias.com/groups/pink-castle-fabrics-fall-for-solids-contest/group_contests/fall-for-solids-pillow-contest and following the instructions under the "Contest Entry" heading. :)
This is so great!!
This is beautiful, will you be offering a pattern for this? If so, reserve one for me.
Darlene Sweet, thank you. I am sure I can sort something out for a pattern with your name on it.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, for the community vote. I am so very grateful and totally chuffed blush: Threadbias is truly a source of help and inspiration to me but mostly a whole lot of totally nice people
Quiltdiva I currently am working on a quilt based on my kitchen floor tile and I have several pictures from wall tiles, wall paper and booths for future quilt ideas.
Sewexcitedquilts LOL How fabulous to be able to look down at your floor and get inspiration! Great idea, tile store here I come. I can always say I am taking photos so I can see if they will match my slippers. My floor comes with a layer of dog hair but then so do my quilts, and dinners come to that. So excited to see what you make.
Quiltdiva Congratulations- and I hope we can look forward to a pattern in the future:)))- so glad to see your beautiful work acknowledged this way!
Congratulations . Well deserved .
Wow, wow, wow. I could look at this for hours. Loving the colors, and, the design, amazing. I agree with Mymble, can't wait to see a pattern. Thanks for sharing your talent.
Wow and wow. Stunning. I love your colours - use of solids is great, but the quilting also makes it. I wish I was able to quilt like this but my little machine isn't capable of anything like this.
Just Incredible!! A really beautiful and stunning pillow!!
