My therapist and I were talking about having a mantra. This one is what I tell myself to remind myself to speak up, take action, do the things I need to do in order to live my values, even when I'm scared. :)
"Always be jumping out of airplanes."
Sometimes jumping out of an airplane is as simple as introducing myself to the parents of one of Eliot's classmates. Sometimes it's speaking up when I get shortchanged at the grocery store. I put the rainbow behind the plane because the jumping, though scary, nearly always brings the greatest, most beautiful rewards.
