Description

I made this as a class sample. I was offering a class titled "Bird in the Air Made Easy" based on the book Scraps to You, Too by Debbie Caffrey. Fabric used for the sample was Georgetown by Moda. I have no plans to quilt this; I finished the top with edge stitching to prevent it from raveling. The Bird in the Air block is great because it can be arranged in so many different ways and is very easy to make up. Sadly, I never had anyone sign up for the class so didn't get a chance to teach it. Oh well!

I have never seen this block and I really like it...I am sorry no one signed up!:-(

True That's okay...I enjoyed working on it and playing with the different arrangements. Debbie Caffrey's book showed how to make a bunch of these blocks very quickly so you really can play around with it. It's basically a half-square triangle with an extra square on one side!

I have had that happen when I have offered a class. However...you have a beautiful quilt top done, so not all was lost! :-)
